Welcome to Encounter Humanity. I am Jennifer Roe, Director of Encounter Humanity. As a child I loved reading through the pages of National Geographic. I was enthralled by the landscape, the animals, and especially the people from other countries. (The dream was conceived) As I worked in the non-profit world for several years and with my husband to live out his dream, I began to realize I had a passion, a dream if you will, to help impoverished people,those suffering from the HIV/AIDS pandemic, particularly in Africa. (The dream was growing, taking shape).


I made some new friends in March 2007 on a life-changing trip to Lesotho, Africa. I want to help feed and care for my friends. Out of my passion, the need, and this trip, Encounter Humanity was formed. (The dream was birthed). We partner with other grass roots organizations to help them meet needs in Africa and locally (those in need are not confined only to Africa).

We work to raise money and awareness. The wonderful thing is that a few dollars really can make a difference in someone's life. The difficult thing is there are hundreds of thousands of someones in need of help.
